Designed to relieve parking congestion in downtown Kansas City, this award-winning, 9-level parking structure is one-of-a-kind. The structure allows space for 1,339 cars, as well as 17,000 SF of street-level retail use. The structure serves as a backdrop to the surrounding area across from Kansas City, Missouri City Hall. Completed under the One-Percent-For-Art Program of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, the stair towers feature “Pulse,” a public artwork by James Woodall and el dorado inc. Each level consists of approximately 46,000 SF, and the ground floor includes four shell retails spaces, mechanical room, electrical room, and parking office. The building comprises four passenger traction elevators and a glass encloses stair tower. The new construction garage was built with post-tensioned, cast-in-place concrete along with some components of precast concrete, metal panels and curtain wall being the primary skin material.
