GSA Robert S. Dole U.S. Federal Courthouse
The Robert S. Dole U.S. Federal Courthouse is a 276,603 SF complex with a poured-in-place reinforced concrete structural frame. The building exterior is composed of 750 architectural precast concrete panels with aluminum columns and ornamentation.
Completed on an aggressive schedule, the facility utilizes an energy conservation design and is situated on a tight urban site. The building includes 10 courtrooms, a 35-space garage, a loading dock, a library, nine holding cells, and an employee’s child care center.
This project received an American Institute of Architects citation by the Justice Committee, applauding the architect and contractor for creating a monumental structure within a tight budget.
